tales from a lush.

he told them stories
i think he'd been drinking
perhaps even smoking something
but honest in all
about fall, in love
with hearts full of insanity
eyes needing purged of their empty
and other excuses for rendering-
(himself useless
-his head on a stick)
gave them purpose
gave them meaning
a reason to find someone
minus the screaming.

and backstory

i'm constantly reassuring my friends there are actually people out there who will be good to them....and that if i believe that, with the gorgeous luck i've had through the years at having a quiet relationship with anyone...then they should too.

trying to perk up your pals when you're disillusioned, hey? that takes a lot of energy and some acting! genius!

2 thoughts: trust yourself to spot a screamer (hey, that sounds wrong... or right) and trust that you yourself have contributed also to what drove everyone to yelling in the first place. you don't have to be stupid about choosing any longer but you do have to understand that it takes two to fuck up bigtime.

well...
it also just takes me to find women
with histories of mental illness.
and in that? i have a definite knack.
even the good ones. (or ones who turned that way later)
and i hate arguing period.
discourse is soooo much better.

i think it's on c-span.
cause that's my favorite channel.

mythbusters is on discovery, too, but i actually had to look that up. TiVo disconnects me from having to know insignificant details like which shows are on which channels. in fact, i don't even bother to remember which shows are on which days. i just find them all on my now playing list and feel like it's all a very nice surprise. surprise!

it's a funny list- the things i know but don't bother to remember. the list of what i know and will remember forever is less funny but it's still a good list, too. (unless i get alzheimer's. obviously, they need to hurry up with that brain brush and anti-brain plaque paste.)
