of all the lies.

he told me to listen
that what he was about to say
was stronger then fission
was better then fiction
so i turned my good ear towards him
hoping for wisdom.

there are ppl who are convinced that i'm going to make them rich. that i'm going to be something great. that my art is fantastic, that my art transcends.
and those ppl are fucking crazy.

well, i think if your art is something you pile love and pure joy into and the result is honest, then it does transcend and it will attract the hell out of a lot of people. maybe the people talking to you aren't so crazy.

pure joy, eh?
i'll say the result is honest...but pure joy? wow. never heard that one before.
and it seems most people have a hard time listening to it. can you blame them?

hey, the last two things you sent me were a pleasure to hear, actually. and it wasn't all b/c of olivia, either. also, i'm talking about that extreme kind of satisfaction that comes from doing what you love best- that kind of pure joy. i would say that's when you're doing what you were made to do. i don't know how you'd say it.

well..am glad you were pleased. the last one i sent i think i actually liked. more jazzy then most stuff.
and THAT joy.
ohhhh. yeah..that stuff is fragging awesome.
i'd say when i'm "peaking".

"peaking", huh? is that a druggish way to describe it? (not that you'd be the first to describe that thrill that way)

umm.
it's my own as far as i know, but it is borrowed from the term used to describe the strongest point of a hallucinagenic high.
and they feel similar to me.

yeah, it's your own as far as i know, too. just other people describe that feeling as the best drug ever is all.
